Encik Razak Bin Ahmad holds an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from University Technology Mara, Shah Alam. He started his career as an Executive Officer with Bank Negara Malaysia in 1978. In 1994, he joined PJB Capital Holdings Sdn Bhd (Subsidiary of Johor Corporation) as Deputy Manager. In 1996, he was appointed as the Assistant Head of the Securities Commission Malaysia in various departments. He was an Executive Director with Efficient Frontier Capital Advisors Sdn Bhd from 2007 to 2013. On 31st October 2007 he has been appointed as a Director of Pacific Trustees Berhad.
Edward Cheah graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University in 2016. He also graduated from a web-development boot camp with NEXT Academy in 2016, where he is able to do front and back end in web development. He also received an Entrepreneurship certificate from Bond University Australia “Innovation as Strategy” in 2016. And has also attended and received training from Dr. Heldi Heron from the worldwide Institutes of Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP).
Edward joined Pacific Trustees Berhad as an intern on the 30th July 2012 and since then he was promoted to Management Trainee on 28th Jan 2014 and on 28th May 2014 he was promoted to Management Executive, and finally on the 20th April 2015 he was promoted to be the Manager in MD’s office.
He has experience in Marketing and Operations, Human Resource, Administration and Finance. He is also involved with the day to day operations of Pacific Trustees Berhad which covers Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Interest Scheme, Private Debt Security (PDS) and also the private trust division in Pacific Trustee Berhad. He also works very closely with the managing director of Pacific Trustees on the day to day task and also with the CEO of Pacific Trustees Berhad.
Tan Beng Hong joined Pacific Trustees Berhad (PTB) in December 2011 as Business Development Manager. He has a Trustee Diploma from the Associate Institute of Bankers (London). He has forty (40) years of working experience serving in managerial positions in five (5) Trustees Companies namely HSBC (Malaysia) Trustees Bhd, Maybank Trustees Bhd, PB Trustee Services Bhd and Pacific Trustees Bhd. In addition to that, he is also conversant in areas such as Private Debt Securities, Asset Backed Securitisation, Unit Trust Schemes, Real Estate Investment Trusts, Golf/Recreational Clubs and Timeshare schemes, Memorial Parks, Will Writing Services, Executorship/Estate Planning, Private Trust/Insurance Trust and Trust-Funded ESOS and Share Grant Plan.
Ms Chuah Guat Mey, joined Pacific Trustees Berhad in September 2018 as General Manager, Client Coverage. She graduated with a Bachelor in Management (Honours) majoring in Finance from University Science of Malaysia in 1997 and subsequently completed her post-graduate Masters in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Finance with University Malaya in 2003. In addition, she also completed various professional qualifications from Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM), i.e Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and from Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), the Certified Credit Professional (Business Credit) and Certification in Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT).
She has over 20 years of commercial and corporate banking experience, in which the bulk of them were in the areas of credit and marketing. Besides front line exposure, she also gained experience in middle office and compliance functions, namely heading a foreign bank’s Commercial Banking Portfolio Management Team and also its Commercial Banking Customer Due Diligence and Onboarding Team. She started her career as a Management Trainee in Pacific Bank Berhad. Upon completion of the program, she moved on to be Business Development Manager in Citibank Berhad and subsequently a Team Leader. Prior to joining Pacific Trustees Berhad, she was the Country Head of Commercial Banking Customer Due Diligence and Onboarding Team in HSBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad.
Richard Chan is recognized for his high level of integrity, customer service and ability to form partnerships with executive teams and business owners to achieve short and long-range goals of business objectives. Richard’s background includes being senior manager in human resources management in leading organizations within Hume Industries (M) Berhad (HIMB) group of companies for 25 years (1971-1996). HIMB is a public listed company under the Hong Leong Group. Subsequently he was appointed the Director/Vice President of Human Resources of the Titan Group which is the largest integrated petrochemical and polyolefin producer in Malaysia for 8 years (1996-2004).
Richard is known as agent of change and a specialist in handling adverse and trying human resources situations which have helped foster the integration challenges and opportunities of harmonious relationships between management and employees.
He has extensive knowledge in all areas of human resources; implementation of human resources systems, system application product (SAP) in HR modules, executive and leadership development programmes, industrial relations as well as labor unions; chairman-joint consultative committee (JCC) as part of the 3rd party intervention program.
Richard’s key to successful contribution is the ability to have a strategic overview of your company’s goals while being able as required to be a tactical “hands-on” coach, project leader and to conduct training for all level of your management and HR teams.
He is now a HR and Talent Management Consultant in Pacific Trustees Berhad.
Madam Mari-Len Ngu who holds the Managing Director, Head of Regional Client Coverage position, has 17 years’ experience in Trust and Fiduciary industry and Corporate Governance, leading the Private Clients team in Hong Kong, Singapore and Jersey and subsequently head the Corporate Secretarial, APAC in year 2014 where she worked with TMF Group (formerly Equity Trust). Her experience includes International Corporate Structure planning in cross borders’ transaction and business expansion.
She works physically within the Asia Pacific Region and in the United Kingdom and Jersey Island where she also develops an international workflow and processes within those jurisdictional applicable laws and practices.
She has been interviewed by the Edge Magazine and also invited to be the keynote speakers at international events in Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok just to name a few, focused on Wealth Management/ Labuan IBFC’s structures, as well as its commercial and financial products and to promote Labuan IBFC as the preferred midshore jurisdiction in Asia.
She holds a Diploma in International Trust Management from the Central Law Training, United Kingdom, an Advance Diploma Certificate in Trust Creation Law and Practice, an Advance Diploma Certificate in Company Law and Practice, an Advance Diploma Certificate in Trustee Investment & Financial Appraisal and an Advance Diploma Certificate for Trust Accounting for both STEP and London Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Mari-Len is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP) in the UK. She is a committee member holding a Treasurer position for the STEP Malaysia Branch, and also a Council Member for the Association of Labuan Trust Companies holding a Treasury position 2016 - 2020
Mari-Len is an Approved Trust Officer under the Labuan Financial Services and Securities Act, 2010.
Prior to joining Pacific Trustees Group International, she was the Director, Head of Labuan Business for the Tricor Group.
